Discovering 2014: Easter Basket Clippie

Discovering 2014 is a personal goal to complete a daily project throughout the year!
Today’s project was an Easter Basket Clippie. The basket used 5/8″ grosgrain for the bottom and 3/8″ grosgrain for its handle. The eggs are printed Easter themed 5/8″ ribbon and a few small pieces of 3/8″ green grosgrain add a bit of grass!

Discovering 2014: Ghost Clippie

Today’s project was a Ghost Clippie. For this you need 2″ wide white ribbon,  then trim it to have a curved top and jagged bottom. Use a heat sealer or fray check to keep the ribbon from fraying, add some googly eyes and a tiny bow, then attach it to your hair clip.

Discovering 2014: Bouquet Ribbon Sculpture

Discovering 2014 is a personal goal to complete a daily project throughout the year!

Today’s project was a Bouquet Ribbon Sculpture. It was supposed to be ice cream, but it came out looking more like a bouquet of flowers instead, so that’s what I’m calling it!

Take a 2″ white ribbon and make a cone shape, then glue a few bunched up 7/8″, 5/8″ and/or 3/8″ ribbons inside. Attach it to your covered hair clip and enjoy!
