February 2: No Project Today!

My return trip home became quite the mess yesterday. Short story is that I didn’t get on the plane home yesterday, and won’t be home until late today.

All my craft stuff I brought was in my checked bag which hopefully made it home. I’ll figure out what to do about projects once I’m back!

Discovering 2014: Embroidery Floss Wrapped Hair Combs

Discovering 2014 is a personal goal to complete a daily project throughout the year!

My first project of February was Embroidery Floss Wrapped Hair Combs. For this project you simply need to tie the floss onto one end, wrap it the length of the top, then tie it off at the end. I also used a dab of super glue on my end knot to ensure it was secured.

Discovering 2014: Embroidery Floss Wrapped Washers

Discovering 2014 is a personal goal to complete a daily project throughout the year!
My day 29 project was Embroidery Floss Wrapped Washers. For these I used my excess floss that remained from yesterday’s bracelet project.
To start I folded the strand in half and then pulled the loose ends through the center loop to attach it to the washer. Then I wrapped both strands around and used a dab of super glue to hold it in place at the end. Pictures below!
