Discovering 2014: Turkey Ribbon Sculpture

Discovering 2014 is a personal goal to complete a daily project throughout the year!

Today’s project was a Turkey Ribbon Sculpture, inspired by this pin of a former Etsy listing. This was one of those projects that took much longer than you would think… it took me over an hour!

The turkey uses brown, yellow, orange and red 3/8″ grosgrain ribbon, which are looped, stitched and glued together. For the face he sports a pair of googly eyes, an orange grosgrain beak and a red grosgrain gizzard.

Discovering 2014: Pinwheel Clippie

Discovering 2014 is a personal goal to complete a daily project throughout the year!
Today’s project was an (almost) Pinwheel Clippie. After fully assembling it I realized one of the branches is facing the wrong way… oops! 🙂
The pinwheel uses thick 7/8″ silk ribbon with a button for the centerpiece.
